  • I was thinking about something similar to that. I'll look into it some more. I guess it's called a cam buckle, the thing I was thinking of.

      • Been checking this out on the HAMB, a speed hump has appeared... Hope it's not too big, really want to see it get to Atlanta.

        • yup, they send the wrong crank...it was in the right box, but wrong size rod journals. They're working on getting the right one balanced, and hopefully on a truck in the next couple days. We'll see how it goes. But I'm still plugging away, I painted a few more body parts today.

          • Lurking in the shadows and following along on the HAMB. Man, that's a tough crowd...Lots of interesting input and tech...

Looking good! If you need a second set of hands on a weekend give me a call.

Bummer. My short block is still at the machine shop, though they say the only thing left is cutting the valve reliefs. Chug chug chug!

                • Engine is on schedule to be complete by the end of next week. If all goes well. I need to take the heads back for the final valve job work and assembly, and pushrods are on order. I think I have everything else I need for it.

                        • Why is the tank so big, surely that weight would be better at the rear of the car ?

                          Comment

                          • yeah, well, it's an early funny car, and things are kind of different. With the altered wheelbase and engine setback, i do NOT need any more weight at the back of the car! but I do need fuel to get to the engine. And I have to drive it on the highway hundreds of miles a day, so a 15 gal tank is kind of necessary.

                            Glad you like it, guys
