have the normal everyday stuff.... when the sun came out it really
kicks with the metallic in it.... it does have the candy apple red to it
in the sun then the metallic... looks pretty good
    EDIT
the race car is odd ball also.. a Plymouth Sundance... then one of
my street rods is a 38 Ply 2 door touring sedan... yeah I like odd ball

Well done! we're always our worst critic, I'm sure you see flaws right away that would take most of us a lot of careful inspection to find, besides - all you see from the driver seat is part of the hood and fenders anyway!
There's always something new to learn.

With the way that bullet should run I think Mike will be seeing all corner and both lanes...I stop by and looked at the paint it needs some color sanding but I think all car done in a non pro booth need it plus most of them too... it will look great after some rubbing.. and learn how to pull in the garage without getting a flat..

That thing looks awesome. If it were me, I'd be a wiseass and do the factory Rampage 2.2 decals.

Mike - how long is the drive shaft in this thing?

I got the flat fixed yesterday and its back on... I rubbed part of the quarter and that
took longer than I figured... I'm getting a palm sander

The absolute worst part of any finishing project to me is the sanding - ugh the sanding, my shoulders and elbows hurt just thinking about it and I'm only 42.

I hear those durablocks help - make the paper easier to grab and less fatigue for your hands.

I look forward to seeing this beastie in person!

Back to driveshafts - would you agree that 10" is about the minimum for a street / strip drive shaft?

That would depend on the amount of travel the rear end would see ... 10" is pretty short and would
put a pretty good angle on the U-joints

I couldnt do any work on the truck yesterday because the wife
wanted new hard wood floor put in the family room so thats what I
did yesterday... that is job is done so I can get back to wet sanding today
and see if I want to shoot one last layer of clear after its all sanded...
but being its cold outside I might hold off a day or so(I prefer to wet
sand outside since I'm using water to rinse the car) instead of making
                          more mess in the shop

I didnt get alot done today but I did get the drivers door
all assembled other than the interior panel.. I'll put that
on after I hang the door(the cut outs in the inside give me
hand holds while hanging it)... I'll do the pass side tomorrow
and hope to get the tailgate done also... gotta get this stuff
back on so I can line up the fenders and fascia

the drivers door hung... thats on and the pass door is ready to hang
and the tailgate is about ready... then I'll do the front fascia... todays
pics... gotta get on the wet sanding

Looks great! if it was mine, things i would change: I would install a windshield, and shorten the tailpipes
