Took the drive shaft out last night rear end seems to be fine. I left the key on so the battery was dead did not have time to charge it. Just moving the shifter through the gears is easier now that before, still does not like going in 5th.

Worked in the yard this morning cutting a ditch to drain the small lake that formed over night. Got the battery charged, car cranks again. Seems like 3the & 4 gear work but there was some squeaking. 1,2,5,and R are no good. Maybe its the shift forks? I have been reading it looks like with a few pullers it can be taken apart.Comment

Bob and Beagle have really got me thinking. So I have sent $24.95 to some guy on ebay for a CD clamed to have all the needed info for: Borg Warner TREMEC 5 Speed T5 T45 T50 T56 TR3550 TR3650.
To help out the bottom line I am thinking about listing the cold (hot) air intake, and aftermarket shifter for sale. I don't really see these items increasing the sale price of the car.

I bought a CD that is "supposed to be" the CTS shop manual.... oh good gravy, it's not - it's 10,000 (yes, 10 thousand) pages of every nut, bolt and wire in the car from 2005 through 2007. Suffice to say, I'm thinking that was an awesome deal because - it's not copyrighted so it can be copied - which I've done a bit of - 200 pages of wiring harness for my 2006 CTS motor in the Spider.Originally posted by Russell View PostDoing it all wrong since 1966Comment

Thanks Bob, the CD I got did not include a t45 service manual just a slightly edited version of the link you posted that I already found. If its just bad shift forks do you think that right up would be good enough for me to fix it?
