got the hood sanded yesterday. tomarrow i take it in to get two sets of 2 rows of 9 louvers put in. should look kind of neat without being over done and should help engine cooling a little.

that's how they paint all of the test engines before they send them out the door - I have a feeling that thing spent some time in Dearborn.
There's always something new to learn.

i'm not sure. it was built 18 years ago and was sitting in the guys shop. the test results went missing. however, there is a serial number and i'm thinking of calling the manufacturer and seeing if they still have the paperwork.

Made a car dollie to put the Torino on today so I can still move it around if I have to. It is just four casters and a big skid and some carpet, but it will do the trick.

                        ha!
I'm using the four caster "pallet" I used to roll the steel ranger bed around under the falcon, it works fabulous.

Last night I put a deposit on a rotisserie, built like a tank, all rectangular tubing with greasable fixed pivots - on pneumatic 10" wheels.... pick it up Saturday $500 :-)

I'm looking forward to making some progress on the mach after the falcon is roadworthy, getting that shell up on a rotiserie will be a big move in the right direction - I have a lot of work to do before that point though. I'm picking up the rotiserie tomorrow -thankfully it's on big pneumatic tires so rolling it around myself even on the gravel out back shouldn't be too bad.

John moving a car around on one of these is not easy with one person, but it can be done. I don't know about on gravel, but concrete it is do-able. The one I used had 3" hard rubber tires and it was a handful for just me to move it's like they have a mind of their own.
