    NICE!
My car is very loud too with the flowmaster type mufflers on it. Fortunately at Less than 2000 RPM it's not to bad, and with 5th gear I'm under 2000 PRM at highway cruising speeds.

I REALLY hope these cherry bomb turbos are nothing like flomasters - but only time will tell.

There is an exhaust shop close that's supposed to be pretty good - even if I had to go down to 2.25 for the tail pipes I suppose that wouldn't be horrible.

just adding turn downs would help... if you run short of time. those look just like the ones my kid put on his fox LX, they were super quiet...

You'll be glad you didn't go with Flowmasters! I'm probably going to pull mine off this winter and replace them with something quieter. They're obnoxious, and I usually like a loud exhaust system.
You might take a look at some of the tail pipe pieces Jegs sells. They've got some mandrel bent 2.5" tail pipes made by Dynomax that might be a good fit, and save time and money too.

My choice of the cherry bombs was made for me due to the case size - I didn't realize at the time when I ran the subframe connectors straight back that I was taking up so much room in the muffler area under the back seat floor. Most oval mufflers are 9" or so wide, these are closer to 7 1/2" wide. Hopefully I like the way they sound - they're welded in there!

Many thanks again to Russell for making this conversion possible.

The Mark8 seat tracks full of motors wiring and whatnot would have been a giant time suck to make work, if in fact that was possible. Russell found me a pair of Tbird manual seat tracks that line up perfectly and will only require slight modifications to bolt to the seat bottoms.

While I had the seat apart I added a piece of truck mudflap between the spring wires and the foam - this trick helps tremendously for making the seat bottom cushion more firm, it gets rid of that "sitting in a hole" feeling.

I bet the manual seat tracks are at least 15lb lighter per seat than these multi motor power monsters

The one nice thing about the power seats is the front and back go up and down so you can get the angle / height just right. I am sure with a little bracket work you can do the same thing and save the pain of wiring and the extra weight. (would not want to take it out of the feather weight class!)

                          Glad I could help!

John, I had those small case Cherry Bombs turned down behind a big cammed 351c when I was a teenager. Not nearly as obnoxious to my ears as 2 stage Flowmasters open ended a couple years later on a near stock 289. The Cherry Bombs also had more character/ vintage rasp than the Flows did. Don't know how that will sound with your 306 and the X pipe, though.

Also, how do you like that light gray on the floors? I have the stuff to do the floors of mine the same color, but considering a color change to something a little more dull.

Greg, I would agree with 100%!! I have Flowmaster Super 40's and I wouldn't trade them for anything!!

John, since your space is so tight, you should look into Super 44's if you don't like the Cherrybombs. They sound very similar to the 40's, but they are smaller by a few inches. They were specifically designed for cars with limited space.
