The Deuce is a nice crusier, and the screamin eagle 95 (actually a 103) is stout, but the r1 is wicked fast. Harley parts are too high. Next planned purchase is a 04-05, maybe 06-07 zx10r in pearl orange or black. My buddy wrecked the deuce tonight too, someone ran him off the road, then toom off. just painted the r1 last week.

Need to pull old rear end housing out and measure distance between perches and burn them on.

Went ahead and redneck boxed the lowers hoping I can use them for a bit.

I'd think you could use them for a long bit - looks good!

looks like the upper control arm mounts are quite a bit diffrent. How does that affect things?

Special double adjustable control arms, the spherical bushing allow the movement, then set pinion angle. Instant center is suppose to be wrong but I plan on tackling that later.

Beags, thanks I want to make the adjustable lowers myself when I get time.

Btw for future reference I weld the spring perches on 16 1/8" from center to inside side of outside of the tube sticking up, which is 60mm o.d. Tube

Gears are in. cover on, oil in, old shock off, old 7.5 brake lines bolted up to 8.8 wheel cylinders. The supplied bolts are 1/2, the holes in control arm mounts are m12, have to drill them out.

Ran out of light, uppers need shortened, theyre almost all way out, need to move them in and set pinion angle and torque all the bolts. The whole rear is 1 inch to the left also, hoping to get it figured out.

I used an oreillys 355 ujoint ($15, in stock) the couple the driveshaft and pinion flange, havent bolted it up yet.

Adjusted botbb uppers all way in and its bout perfect left/right and forwatd/bavk now. Changed Trans filter and fluid for first time since I built it. Just sme gray dust in bottom of pan. Driveshafts in and bolted up fine. Need to torque everything and see if I can set the pinion angle.

Looking good. Hopefully shortening the uppers all the way in didn't give you a wicked amount of pinion angle.

I'm sure you checked already, but make sure the rearend is straight. If it's a little bit off, it will still drive fine, but will wear out the posi quickly, as it will constantly be turning the friction surfaces against each other when you are going straight down the road.

You need somewhere in the 3-6* downward pinion angle if memory serves..
We shorten the lowers about 2 inches to give us 5-10* up, because by the time we junk the car, it is dragging the dirt..

I think I gotta move it to 2* up. I didn't measure for straightness, just adjusted both arms the same, guess I'll measure straightness after I set the angle. I'd actually have to lengthen the lowers I think. I'll make some agjustable ones when I get time. I just want to get it done and to the track once this year. I have no clue wether this is a 12 or 16 second car. See what difference the gears make on the street and i'll get an idea.
