I would have preferred black, but oh well.
The right angle adapters took me several minutes to figure out with the plate since they are side specific.
Went home at lunch and pulled the alternator, brackets, belt and lower hose. Tomorrow I will disassemble the new pump, make sure all the surfaces are nice and flat with a flat file, and put it back together with some good rtv. Might even have time to bolt it on.Life is short. It's interesting...
Motor to housing has an o-ring installed and a gasket in the box. I went ahead and popped the gasket in just to keep up with it.
Housing to right angle adapter has both as well.
Right angle to plate --> no gasket provided. I will probably make one.
Plate to timing cover --. I will probably just use a standard water pump gasket.
I am leaning towards just using gaskets and skipping the o-rings because they are what people were having issues with.
Another thing about these style of pumps, they are long. This one is 6.5" from the face of the timing cover to the button. It will fit in my car, but it will be closer to the fan than the mechanical pump was.Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

John, yes on both, but I don't know how many amps. A CSR is 5.8-6 so I would imagine this one is similar.
So
HHR fan = 14 amps
Water pump = 6 amps
A1000 = 13 amps
------------------
Total = 33 amps!
It adds up fast. Yikes!
Randal, yes it does. The alternator is mounted low and I can just run a belt over to it unless I come up with a magic electric alternator to eliminate all the belts. haha

As much stuff as I have been finding, learned and begun to correct, I'm kinda glad the Mustang puked before Drag Week. I doubt it would have made it to Great Bend. Probably would have sucked the battery dry after 20 miles and I would have been done. hahaLife is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

I saw a car that had the alt powerd from a belt off the drive shaft, not really sure what that was going to save? and it does not charge when you are sitting in traffic.
I know! cover the car in solar pannels and pray for the sun to shine!

I'm might just get a dozen or so of these guys and connect them to an alternator.

Obviously you're following you own one wire thread and that seems to have covered the charging landscape. More is better.Drag Week 2006 & 2012 - Winner Street Race Big Block Naturally Aspirated - R/U 2007 Broke DW '05 and Drag Weekend '15 Coincidence?
