Did a little reconnaissance last Sunday. The VFW is a little out of town - not too hard to find with a GPS. The parking isn't quite as good as I had hoped for but will be fine if the weather stays good. I am going to contact them this week to discuss this show in more detail.

              Stay tuned for updates.

Allen, the VFW is located on the "other" route leaving Beech Bend. Anyone not familiar with this area, when leaving Beech Bend Park, take a right on Garvin Lane to avoid the traffic back up on Beech Bend Road.

                  Update!

It appears that we are in a transition of command for the VFW post in Bowling Green. I talked with the incoming gentleman tonight and are starting to move forward on details and arrangements. I have asked for a list of items that the local vets might need. I would also like to try and get a head count of those that would like to attend a Friday afternoon event.

I'm expecting to appear, but if room is needed I can be out of the way.

We will make room for all that come. Just trying to have an idea of how much to plan for before we start working on overflow. I drove by the post a couple weeks ago so I have an idea of what the layout is. Do you know if the grassy area out by the street is firm enough to park cars on if it isn't wet?

If it isn't wet it might be, but I wouldn't be holding my breath. (Looking out of the window at BS Mid-West and watching a duck swim in my front yard.)
