  • Who is driving a C10 on the HRPT?

Post up pics of your Chevy/GMC trucks that you will be cruising in HRPT 2018! Hopefully my 72 Blazer CST 2wd will be ready in time!

Maybe... just maybe... It's a hard sell over my 3 time power toured 65 Mustang. I'm only thinking about it because the route is so short for me from start to finish.

As much as I like your Mustang, that truck is badass. Bring it.

That's why I liked bringing my Lightning. There's not enough room in the Cutlass for my big cooler. LOL

This is one of our options. If it weren't for our house remodel, I'd call it plan A. Needs the LS swap completed, AC fixed/installed, interior spruced up, lowered front and back as well as new tires. Other than that, we're ready to go!

Here is a picture of my C10 - it is plan C but with a few hours work could move up the ladder a rung or two if needed.
The only LS power plants it will see will be in the bed!

Rain is my biggest fear. I've owned/driven this truck for 21+ years and she gets squirrely as piss on wet pavement. I've almost lost it a few times, especially during unexpected stops in rain. The ass end will slide out from underneath going down the interstate on wet pavement if I hit the gas the wrong way.

The Mustang has one hell of a balanced suspension setup (I spent a lot of money on suspension) and great tires. I was doing 70 with confidence in that downpour blowing past Chicago in 2015. If I was in the truck I would have been going 45 with the flashers on! Gotta keep up with Dave!

Do it! I only have a turbo 350 and with no C notch, my truck arms bottom out if I hit bumps. I'll be going slow too!

If Earl goes this year, I guess we could consider him to be the C-10s "daddy"...........

But my mustang has a 5 speed I can bang through and listen to it make all sorts of cool hot rod sounds. The C10 just has a 350/700R.
