  • Car hauler suggestions

My niece needs to ship her car from Va. Beach to Whidby Island, Wa. since her Husband (Navy) has been transferred. They are flexible on the actual drop and pickup points if it will save money. Any suggestion appreciated.

    Here are some company names;

    Thomas C Sunday, sundaytransport.com
    Passport Transport passporttransport.com
Pilot Transport (they haul for the Power Tour I think)
    Enclosed Vehicle Transport enclosedvehicletransport.com
    carship.com

there's a bunch more via google....

It's been my experience that not every carrier goes to every destination and open transport is probably cheaper than closed; that's a long way to go, and it probably won't be cheap.

Stay away from Montway and it's carriers. My father in law used DAS to ship his M138A and had great things to say about them.

I sold a car to someone on Cape Cod earlier this year, and he paid AutoStar Transport to have it shipped from my place near Cleveland - contact info below:
        Yasmin Sairally
        Transport Coordinator
        Tel: 888-802-8250 ext.2233
        Fax: 904-212-0366
        Email: [email protected]
        Website: www.autostartransport.com

The driver was on-time, loaded the car with care, and delivered it without damage. From what I understand, the prices were fair too. Mo's Speed Shop in Georgia uses them regularly.

She will love Whidby Island. My granddaughter lives there with her husband. He is a Navy pilot. Was there over Thanksgiving visiting.

I'm also an aviator here at Whidbey. I'm curious who your granddaughter's husband is, I probably know him. Only two aircraft communities up here so it's a pretty small world. Feel free to message me if you like.

Too expensive for a young family - they don't need enclosed transport either for just a second family car. I agree on supporting sponsors when possible though.

Phil, I just got new tires and the front bumper installed. If I had the motor done and retired I drive it out for you!
