      • Thanks for the reminder. Spent the weekend doing stuff around the house and the mother's day thing..... She's not traveling this week so I should be in the shop every night.... pressure is mounting.

        • Good luck with that one that leads to a honey do list for me.

          • Lee's playset is almost assembled, including a new area in the backyard about 18x10 filled with mulch, and edged.... we doubled the size of RHonda's garden last weekend, so my honey-do list points should be pretty high - when the play set is finished that is.

Got quite a bit of work done on the driver's side floor of the falcon last night. The driver side does not fit as well (mustang floor pans) as the passenger side - LOTS of hammering, bending, weld, pound pount, weld weld, pound pound pound..... certainly not going to win any beauty contests, but it will keep your feet off the ground.

                • Lee is gonna love that! And do I see a boat in there? Awesome!

Making progress.......... what is the small square bar from the rocker under the front subframe heading on towards the tunnel and passenger side? Some temp alignment/location bars welded into keep things together whilst cutting?

                  • YUP - since it's up on the hoist suspended by the subframes - I figured it was cheap insurance to weld those 3/4" square tubes it until I had the new floors in.

I didn't get a pic of the floor partially welded in Monday night before leaving the shop - last night we had enough help to move the play set across the street from the neighbors - so I did that and got it assembled (still needs to be moved slightly, levelled, and tied down) didn't get to the shop last night, and won't be able to tonight either.

I'm seriously considering taking some time off to get some work done.

                    • That floor pan looks pretty good from here. You might want to go to HF and get a big trap if the neighbors did'nt know you got the play set.

                      • welding rusty old metal sucks.
welding the new floor pans (that should actually fit) into the mustang will be cake after this debacle, but these floor pieces were local and cheap - UGLY.

                        • Pretty floor pans are for cars that never get driven.

Keep plugging away! Every little bit is progress!
