I suppose your rationale for sweating that is "Well, that's the part most people will see the most"... haha. Looks a ton better already.

porta-power? sounds like an excuse for a trip to HF...

I have the HF 10 ton and the HF 4 ton. The 10 ton spreader attachment leaks but everything else works well. Handy tools.

My portapower leaks like Dan's.. Not a HF item.. Just keep it topped up..

The jack I used in lieu of a portapower was dry...I had to fill it with oil before use. Probably from laying on it's side in a pickup truck for years.

It's ok, there's more gap on the right than on the left, but only about 1/8" difference. I can live with it.

1/8" is probably better than factory!

                  Great project.

thanks! Tinkering with the B pillar. I have no clue why this was piece cut out...it does not make sense.

Car guys that work on old cars learn how to get things done. It's not like late model cars that are just bolt on's. Good work Jim.

Mater, who has been MIA again, makes it look easy with late model Gran Prix's ... there are "just bolts" in late models I can never find.

Back to work....I just about finished welding in the quarter panel. The bottom behind the wheel is still loose, but I might get a replacement panel for that, since it looks like someone did a rust repair with a sheet of metal, it's not quite the right shape. Plus it has a quarter inch of bondo over most of it. Next...floor pans.
