Yeah, gravity feed gun. Not a very good one, either.

    • looks great Jim , I'm getting tired of this " it's just an old race car " thing though . Some of the nicest paint jobs I've seen are on race cars . It's all about taking pride in your work and Jim it shows that you do ! . Did you paint it there in your garage ? if so is it a detached garage ? did you have any problem with little bugs wading in your fresh paint ? once again well done

      • It'd be worth the trip to OK just to see it in person.

        • The shop is a ways from the house. No bugs today...got lucky. I take pride in my work, but I do the work appropriate to what I'm working on. This car is all about form follows function...perfect paint don't make it go faster, and paying someone else to do it better than I'm able to instead of buying more go-fast parts doesn't make sense.

              • Jim downplays his stuff a lot. For example, there would Be a crowd around his 55 while it was still in primer. The car looked mean, like it wanted to eat puppies. People would comment how cool it was and Jim would always say..."It's just an old Chevy" He's a humble guy...an admirable trait.

                        • I just can't afford to have someone else do it!

Drove around a bit today, it's about 100 out, no problems. Car is not too hot, but then it doesn't have any windows, so it gets plenty of airflow.
