Funny you should say that, we were talking about the inside of the hood and the engine compartments today. with all the possibility Kory made the comment that you could get it too pretty to drive. At any rate they finished the roof and fenders today. Should go final paint within the week.

I'll be curious to see what they do to kill the static electricity. I was plagued with that on the only 'Vette I painted though it came out OK.

Static is always an issue with paint. IIRC, this is a fiberglass body and is even more affected by static. I did my best to ground the 'Vette and it came out OK though there was still some issue with it.

IIRC from my days in auto collision repair school, the paint can pick up a charge from going through the paint gun...our instructors had a ground braid on the air hose as well as the car chassis....don't really have enough experience tho to tell whether or not if it solved issues...

Kory tells me it is a big problem. He uses anti static in the waxing degreaser that he uses to clean the car before painting. He also grounds the body with a chain to the floor of the paint booth. I've seen Kory with the hair on his head sticking straight up.
