Yours is probably easier to park, though. Glad that worked for you.

Yeah Dan.......it was a simple matter of reducing flow.
Was told I needed to check caster and some other stuff.

I had read about this several years ago and the internet is your friend.
The fitting is sort of like an orfice.

Here's the one I took out...........and the box with the new one on it.

    • Older p/s pumps used shims under the pressure regulator to reduce the pressure....worked pretty good!

          • Here are a couple pics of my seat brackets. I took the driver seat out to fix the springs and replace some of the foam, after all these years.

The big plate on the outer side fits the original seat track mounting holes in the floor. The inner side uses a piece of angle iron welded to the floor, and the Pontiac seat bracket was modified to fit to this with two horizontal bolts. My seats are from a 64 pontiac, not a chevy, and they use different floors, etc.

            • Thanks for the photos Jim.
I just ordered up the steel for my buckets today.

My tracks are a little different than yours......I've got some U channel being bent, it's
2" on top with 1" sides.
This will go on top of 3/16" flat stock.......I have to raise the outer track about 1 1/4" because
of the drop in the floorboard.

Hope to start maybe this weekend.........will post up when I get started.

                    • Only thing I can think of is that's the way is spelled on my subscription......I am lucky that
they got my last name spelled correctly. Most times it's Nolan.

My bucket seats are stuck in upholstery shop hell........so not much to report.

Did swap out my gas sending unit......dropped the tank as it was much easier than laying
                      on my back.
Swap did the fix........gauge was acting very erratic.

Gotta have a good gas gauge when you're only getting 7-9 mpg.
