I'll admit this is far from being the best car name ever but I named my first 57 Chevy the "Illinois Shaker" because I was out of Illinois and the word "Shaker" was Drag lingo for the small block Chevy. John Blackstock a friend here locally also had an NHRA record holder which was a 63 Chevy and he named it the "Bad Seed" which I aways thought was a pretty cool name tag.
It kinda reminds me, yeah you've got car names, but go to the marina and check out the names of all the boats. Some are obvious ("Obsession"), but there's a secret story behind all of the boat names. It's not safe to guess what it means until you really know.
its a real racecar when the driver and or the car has a name. gives them a personality, that fans relate to. just compare monster truck racing to drag racing. You dont hear the driver of Gravedigger thanking sponsers in a practiced script.
I like " Brutus " and " Hemi Hunter " .

Ban low performance drivers not high performance cars .
I remember one car that had the letters 'AMF' done up
real nicely on the side....was one of those 60's things that
everyone knew what it meant......and it wasn't the bowling ball
manufacturer.
