Doug, nope. This car was owned by Fletcher's dad. Been in the family forever.
Paul Mercure was the dude with the Checkmate car. A flat nasty car. In the days of IHRA Top Stock this car was a major player.

phil monteith ran a fairly well trashed super stock 455 74 trans am
in 1990 he put sal biondo in the [torn] drivers seat and won the summernationals
at the same race , my old neighbor jim diciacco won super comp in a door car
the hatari cars have been quite beautiful , the 95 trans am was pontiac 400 powered and won a world championship or too
the biondos were also runing arnie martels speedco cars too in comp and super stock
now fletcher , biondos ,lincoln morehead and lee zane get flown in to west coast events because they are so brutally good on the treeComment

Landlord still has His Ex-Dave Lange '68 Chevy-II Super-Stocker. It once held a national record in SS/"H"(Automatic..). He's had it since 1970 and is one of the "very newest" Car's He's ever owned. He's also still has all of the Paperwork,as well as some old Buisness Cards from Mr. Lange's Shop(Dave's Dyno Service,#115 E. Foothill Blvd.,Monrovia California....). Neat Car. ~J/W-OO6.Comment
