    All better now.
lean is hot. someone said that... wonder who? ;)

get a laser temp gauge, it makes finding these things a lot easier because your exhaust manifolds will be substantially different temps.... might even save a wire

Laser temp gauge.......makes me think of the 'olden days' when we used a grease pencil to find a cold cylinder...........

          I'm not running lean.....
Another modification I regret is moving my oil
          and trans coolers forward.
Moving them back in front of rad.

The braided hose on the far right was 1" too short and all the hoses left over were too short so I had to use a coupler until I get more hose.

This fan really sucks right through a thick cooler
                and radiator..........

I guess sometimes when it sucks, it's a good thing!

It is my understanding that a weak suck is never good!

The water temp now seems to be under control, 180 plus a little itty bit, the new fan is doing an excellent job.
The oil temperature is 180 or just under when idling.....BUT not the trans.
The oil cooler sits right in front of the radiator fan but the trans cooler is on the other side, not getting all the suck it needs.

I´m wondering if I could re locate that cooler in front of the oil cooler....

Drove the car yesterday and we went back to 210.....
Switched on the high speed fan and it cooled down.
Later I found out the relay had fired, no big deal I just bought a pack of 5 relays, 40 amp.

Brand new out of the box the first one I installed was dud, confidence level lowered.
The other four tested to be okay so I installed a second for the high speed fan too.

Here´s my dilemma, having one dud in a box of five can I trust those two I´ve installed ?
Now I´ve got two installed and the remaining two are spares I´ll carry with me.

I've had the failed relay issue too, and now carry two spares.

Generally speaking, Having two tested spares is a great Idea... We try to get quality brands...Bosch, etc....

I agree - in fact they live in the glove box so I can jump out and change them quickly in traffic.

The original relay I had to replace was a Bosch, it was old and underrated for it´s new job.
