    somehow the same, of course.

I was tempted to go over and sit in at their show.. you can hear them echo through the whole place.

part of my lung was not even working up north.
        just bizarre.

        Sebring really woke me up.
Had camera in hand, a driver in a lime green corvette gave a wave..
they must be able to spot photo ops.
all of that league is pro stuff. Really alive.

I got talking to dad. we were here 38 years ago. The autumn...in a 1981 freightliner freighted to the gills (the potato trailers swelled like fat guppy fish) Still very warm and a long summer becomes evident.
all vehicles had carbs, maybe 1 in a hundred had all the windows up to the luxury called a/c.
radial tires were only a few years old in technology. chunks of rubber was all over the highways. He'd count on blowing more than a few every run..
the haze and odor of hot tires and carbon remained in my memory.

not even a full line up at sebring brings the odor in a breeze like those days.
Memories flooded as we just talked a few minutes ago. For every five miles south , the warmth only got warmer.
        we both remembered that.

He is planning on being here next month, wants me to come back down with him and my brother...only we'll be in the rig.

back then truckers from deep north, like canadian potato haulers as he was. He was like the fame of a race car driver, legends only known to those that gave a damn.

very very hard living. A jake brake was extra, like having air conditioning.
he'd tell stories sometimes.. like still smelling the grain alcohol coming out of the pipes, that kept the diesel from gelling north of toronto...and here it is 85F and drinking a cold beer with the refrigerator trailer running, doors open, for a place to stay cool after unloading.

        just amazing.
he was one that had true friends in all colors.

edit: freightliner was a 70s model. A 290, and No jake.
round headlights...and that fall run I was 7 yrs old in 1980.

        • after 12 years I am getting a review of my SSDI.
this should get interesting. A doctor attempted a mental diagnosis, and it left off as an apology, and he turned out to be a fraud.

SSDI went on for 21 years.
All they got is i am disabled, line of duty.
every subject known to physiology has me in mythological.

I should be dead by now.
This would be a good time for the fairy talers to step out of my lifes path.
some fairy taler put it where it is.

I still have bad thoughts of the leadership in my military unit. I was nervous since day one.
...and yes my IQ is 130.

step up step up, face the time of the crime.

I should have had my 2 purples, airmans, silver star, commendation and achievement medal in the mail by now.

a shame hetero sexual martyrs have to join the wrong unit.
          typically makes enemies...
I just get a gander at the church next door and sigh relief.

choke on my wake and go to sleep.

          this was a favorite.

going for ID as my state is one of few states that did not meet federal regs.

to renew my passport, I was told to use my gov passport form the 90s to make it easy.

this way I can fly etc.

I hope to be getting one.
I have had to stand myself up, get through my own blindness to realize how owed I am...
                    by law.
                    no fairy tales.

My maine license is still good, but can't fly. Need more official ID.

later this month I talk to a mental specialist to clear the fraud doctor.

I get a message from a girl, and think the filters aren't working, shes a porn spam.
I humor the message about knowing her when we were little kids and that we slept over each others house a million times.
Her older brother was my first best friend.
and then the two moms of all 7 kids used to put us all together as a result.the oldest being 7 or so..
that was a handful for two moms.
we learned how to ride bikes.
we fought off a gang at 5 yrs old with a rock fight.

we watched the first episode of dukes of hazard, and it blew our minds..
we watched all the way to last episode...1980s.

Adolescence came quick, I did not like where he was headed.. but his sister was my first make believe wife when we played "house"

                      • I'd rather smell skunk than burnt electrical parts. And that describes my afternoon. Not sure how I feel about the Turd(le) not burning itself to the ground. Apparently some water got into the power seat switch during the monsoon we've been experiencing. Never gotten water up into the arm rest before and the door drains are clear AND dry. Meanwhile the seat is in a position that makes it impossible for me to drive. I'm starting to feel like Tom Hanks and this is my money pit. It has never failed to let me down just when I think it's going to be a decent driver.

OR you could go down to the car store and pay full retail for some (any) kind of a brand-new ride that will start giving you trouble 4 miles or 5 minutes after the warranty expires, whichever, whichever measurement comes first. It's planned, designed and engineered to do that, and they know it.

                            • computers.
all this talk of getting old.. setting goals.

                              remembering my computers..
1986 - trs 80, I was 13. Accused of hacking by men in black, they came to the house. 9600 baud, and a telephone number. there was red and green and blue on the screen...and a square cursor, and the apple looking thing stunk. Big B floppy.

1991 - air force network. In awe. The guy with a gun protecting some of them. I had to enter maintenance info for kc135 once and awhile... looking over my shoulder for any non clearance looking. Dos based.. but they called it their own I am sure.
1996 - ran first fiber optics at UMO (orono). Ground fiber by hand tools in an attic of one building, because I fit. perpendicular grind or else. It is still there today. I wonder if it is measured in terabytes of data passed through. I saw win 95 for the first time, and the internet. I gained goose pimples at the thought of future.
1998 - 2 years after disabled military, I remembered computers. I flopped 1700 cash at radio shack for a compaq 5600i. this set my pace for silent rage for 2 decades to come. I lost it in two months.
1999 - abit kt7a, first time I saw 1000 mhz with an overclock. I made some nerd group proud. 1013mhz before it fried. I then took in anything and everything. A 233 pentium, a 486, amd 450. the hard drive evolution.. my god.
2001 - the last year of the hackable chip. I can't recall but 8086 or something. My computer was running when the news of the towers hit.
                              2003 - 18
skipped over pentium 3. Gained a half dozen pentium 4 variants. Recycling was my new thing. Make itmy own. I took a 1mb l2 cache p4 3400 to 120k hours. I realized after 5 years my light bill was 40+ dollars a month to the 90w screamer.
an e3-1270, lenovo.. original cost 3400. Dropped on its back, not trusted.. less than 1800 hours. I recycled with great luck..
back into gigabyte, asus.. a g3220 is my spare.
the average video cards are 3 times bigger than my first win 98 cpu. The CRT hurt my problems very badly. LEd monitors saved my love of the custom pc. The 4 core xeon is two whole machines at once... 3 times less consumption. Virtualization enabled. 120,000 threads as fast as I can open and close and thrash the mouse clicks.. We were lucky to see 4 and 5k threads on the p2 350.
I wanted to mention it here. I am feeling old. My age group.. the inventors of google. Within months. Quite a road..as a consumer. Imagine being a pioneer with education. Beyond imagination and wildest dreams.
got my four core xeon e3-1270 back up and running from a clean slate.. less than 1 hour.
hdd fail. Got the old drive still plugged in, waiting for the heat clicks.. I am sure it is not failed.
only twice in 20 years have I failed a drive.
I wonder if I have a million hours since 98...

                              called the new internet company..
I was paying double for half the speed.
they doubled my speed, gave me credit for my on the edge new modem...
                              half price.

17mbit net and a four core xeon.

I got virtualization enabled running bluestacks android simulator, a game in low latency and here typing whilst facebook is open in mozilla...
50% or so of the 8gb of DDR hyper threaded memory...

what a road it has been. this moment for me now is the fastest in every direction.

                              • Sorry about flooding the forum lately. Whenever I get stressed about something minor like, oh, keeping a roof over my head I blab on the web. I do it all over not just here. Brett Kepner just ROFLed at me on Facebook and not in a good way. Bruab was waxing poetic about this weekend's record shattering Radial race and I said I'd still prefer an Outlaw Pro Mod record shattering event.

It comes to me that as a kid I read too many magazines and dreamed about being the guy IN those magazines when I should have been doing my English homework so I could make those magazines. And learned to avoid run-on sentences. I doubt it reads as well as it writes but I dig the hell out of writing and thank you guys for putting up with me. (run-on again)
