PROJECT CARS
The F-BOMB '73 CHEVY CAMARO
The F-Bomb may be our most famous project car, as it was seen in a multipart buildup in Hot Rod magazine in 2007, which also road-tested the Bomb in the June 2008 issue. You may have also seen the Bomb on other Web sites, and in 2009 it’s scheduled to be featured in the newest Fast & Furious movie. Built by Nelson Supercars, the F-Bomb features a 1,550hp, twin-turbo 406 Brodix small-block (that also makes 700 hp on 91 octane), a TCI Pro-X Powerglide, and a Strange 9-inch rear with 3.20:1 gears. The 'cage is by Red Zone Race Fabrication and all the trick plumbing is by Bent Custom & Performance. The long-term goal for the Bomb is 8s in the quarter and 200-plus mph in the standing mile. And with all that, it’s still tame enough to drive pretty much anywhere, anytime.

Cannot slide foot under front spoiler. At least while wearing shoes.

All my stuff is packed deep in all my storage garages and I'm dead broke, so it's going to be a log while before I can get any real wrenching done. I'd need to move four other cars just to get to Bomb right now.
Anyone wanna buy anything?

With all that has been going on I think it's going to be a while before we see the Bomb again, I assume it buried in the lounge room :P.
I find with my cars that the hotter car is the hardest one to just take it out for a drive. Not that it's harder to drive or anything, it just takes more time to get it out and ready to drive. Then it takes that time again to put it away.

DF, Looking at the pix of the runway deal where it blew the tires it sure looked like the front end was hiked up in the air a bunch. Did you have it that high for drag racing or does it usually ride that high? Might act funny at high speed is why I ask.

David -
You have NO IDEA how hard it is for me to keep from hitching up the car trailer and towing out to CA to score one of the Dusters! Suggestion - why don't you make a post of what you want to sell and starting prices (Buy It Now price?). I'm sure lots of folks would be interested, and some of us don't spend our days scrounging Ebay and CL.
Just a thought
Dan
