    well done.

However, I have a question. You race that car, sideways most times, and keep it between the ditches on the racetrack.... yet you didn't see the truck? A pedestrian, small asian car, or even a moose I'd understand if you ran over because they're so small and easy to overlook.... but a truck? Care to explain? perhaps the sun was in your eyes? a pelican flew in front of you? was the truck camoflauged? How did this happen?

Well,it couldnt have been the sun, cause we havent seen much to her this summer..I was following a truck in rush traffic, and when we came to a crossing,we had to stop.As we accrelated from the crossing,i followed him around 40-50 feet behind im..around 1/8 mile from the crossing, the truck suddenly stopped..without brakelights.

Let me tell you...i saw it all the time, but you arent prepared for trucks that stops without brakelights...they stop fast too..so i braked like hell was loose...and as the Chevelle dived..the bumper on the truck hit the grille on the velle..and smashed the fenders and hood too.Luckily i hit the brakes, and the bumper on the Chevelle didnt hit the bumper on the truck..so no damage to the frame or the bumper.

But i feel guilty for not avoiding this crash...if it hadnt been raining,i may have.We had probably 25-30mph when he stopped..i think i had around 15mph when i hit him..the first thing he said when he came out,was that he had relesed the handbrake when he shifted gears.

But i havent followed this case through the insurance..i have bad experiences there..it take a long time to get the case closed..and in the meantime you cant fix your car...

I havent even got one on my truck. If i should worry to much about this car,i would have parked it in a garage and not used it...but its too fun to drive daily..one of the things i really are upset about with this crash..is that it happened at 20mph or so...and not in a guard rail at the track

Now you've done it. You made the front half of your car dentless and rust free. Now, you'll have to do the rest of the car. Just made more work for yourself there, buddy. haha. Looks great.

then it'll be too nice to race, but you'll do it anyway and wreck it.... then some yahoo on the internet will say (in response to the obligatory youtube video) to kill the driver and burn the ashes

As nice as it is..i have heard those comments as it is...from enthusiasts..It isnt easy being a hot rodder.

And everyone and their families, want to have it painted..and when i say..i want it blue..they say.."why not black or yellow or red?"..nono..i want it blue,i say..and then they argue about how nice it would have been red or yellow,or flat black.."well,i say,i still want it blue, and if that wont fit into your head..then,maybe it can be as it is,cause you wouldnt like it blue anyway".

                    Then they walk.

And i understand them, cause as the car sits with the wheels and stance,it looks killer..especially when they hear it screamin at 6000rpms,and 200feet with black rubber on the asphalt..

Its like when we see a project in an old barn..we want it back from the dead. But sometimes its refreshing to just let that project keeps its soul..i mean..how often dont we see a project gets finished, and then its for sale..cause,the guy or girl,is finished with it..its THAT finished..they are afraid of gettin the paint scratched, and cant drive to the store, cause there could be someone lookin at their car..or heaven forbid..touch it.

Well,im not saying thats what keep me from getting a nice paint, but i want stop using it..thats the greatest part about it.

That car would stupid in bright red. Black is done to death. I like the blue. It lets the driver and drive train do the talking.

Last track day, took its toll on the front brakes..nothing left now after all these years..the original discs and all.Numbers matching..so now i have installed the 12 inch 1Le discs withe the B body wagon spindles..

Didnt go too well..the front wheels are touching the caliper...so i used 3/8 inch spacers..some universal ones, but i dont like them.Too much universal for me,cause the wheels arent touching the inner diameter on the disc.Oh well..i need more wheels nonetheless.Guess i have to make new wheels with the right offset and innerdiameter to clear the caliper.

Seems to me that these cars will take off in the near future,as there are a lot of people that have owned them, and want a nice one back..or one with muscle and handling!!.
