    Top 10 Well-built car/trucks of the last 5 yrs.

In the spirit of the Consumer Reports is BS threads going on, I figured I'd let the dogs out, right here.

    Consider:

    Drivetrain Quality
    Fit-n-Finish
    Crap that falls off
Things that rust immediately when they shouldn't
Stuff that needs fixin waaaay before it should

And NO, pintos don't make the list. Too pretty.

consumer reports pinheads rip on american cars , but even in ther 'bad old years ' there were caprices , impalas , 88 olds ,malibus , lemans , celebrities that ran forever with zero problems

...and zero power. Still very relevant cars IMO.

I dont own anything that new but my Regal and Bonneville werent changed much since the model years I have and they are both great cars. So,

            98-2004 Regal ,SC3800 :
            No problem
Its quick and the cops dont notice it.

            97 Bonneville SSEI,
            Plenty of room and power.

2006 Ford Focus. I drive it(beat it) 100+ miles daily. One power steering pump. 2001 F350 powerstroke. 172k. original clutch and brakes. one cam postion sensor. 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. No factory problems but lots of rock crawling damage!!!It has held up up very well even though i have a bad habit of launching it in the air.

my first 92 buick (maroon one in the sig pic)had no problems until it went into the woods at 45mph. still drove and beat on it after that happened for the rest of the day. for the 3 months i owned it i beat the living #%&* out of it ,jumped it ,bottomed it out on purpose ,ran into stuff with it ,went offroading with it etc. etc. . it was a tough car had a real nice interior too and it was only $300

I wouldn't call it a top 10 car and it wasn't even made in the last 5 yrs, but my 98 Cavalier has been the most trouble free car I've ever had. It has 110k on it. I've put brakes on it twice, and had to put in one new battery and that's it. I don't really like the car cause it's gutless and has more doors, but I can haul the kids from school and I can't complain about how well it runs.

I only have experience with one vehicle that's less than 5 yrs old, and she's only had it two months....hard to say what it'll be like.

06 HHR with the 2.4.... excellent car. No rattles, great mileage and would flat scoot.
05 Canyon - I don't care what people say about the straight 5.. they work great and get good mileage.... and because of the underpinnings on that truck
07 H3 - the best stock 4x4 ever built. I've had about every kind of 4x4 trucks, jeeps, landcruisers... they are a poor shadow of what the Hummer is. It really does go anywhere.

h3 alpha sports LS power -5.3 - probably gets better mpg than a 5 cyl
