    Asphalt Modifieds at Bristol

It would seem impossible for anything short of an F1 car to break the record for the all-time fastest lap at Bristol. However, that very thing was done yesterday. And by a most unlikely source.

Can you imagine how intense the ride around Bristol must be in a Modified? Yowza.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the Modifieds are faster than Indy cars at the Milwaukee Mile-can anyone confirm this?

Sounds like a bit of a stretch. The Indycar record for Milwaukee is 170.296 (21.456 seconds). The Nationwide record is 122.595 (29.365). The Modifieds are only slightly quicker around Bristol than the Cup cars.

Sorry, couldn't find Modified times for Milwaukee.

I love the modifieds with radical offset. Race cars don't get more HOTROD than these. Modifieds are so cool to look at because they are all different it seems... all that innovation is just plain cool.
