Hey, at least he can say he tried it, rather than just talk about it.
Haha, that's great! The official Bangshift garage door guru. Just about anything can be built using garage door parts, trust me.Comment

At first I thought this was going to be a supercharged leaf blower, either self feeding or using a smog pump. Anyone ever try a smog pump on a go kart? That's been a wonder of mine since I first learned that all a smog pump does is move air.Escaped on a technicality.Comment

I soooo want to know if this works. I know it won't work well in its current configuration, but I still want to play with it. Can you imagine how funny this would sound? Like the gardeners are working on a street where cars are racing... ;D"A cross thread is better than a lock washer." Earl Lanning...My GrandpaComment

Two leaf blowers at full tilt and one poorly muffled small block Ford did sound weird as hell as he blasted up the street. He offered me a ride and knowing that he was a walking chemistry experiment, I politely declined. I asked him if it worked and he had no real idea what so ever.Originally posted by carjunkiechadI soooo want to know if this works. Those things have to move some air

Yeah, you'd think it would have done SOMETHING. It has to be better than a cold air kit! I'm seeing some experimenting going on with minibikes. Or Rusty!"A cross thread is better than a lock washer." Earl Lanning...My GrandpaComment

The hilarious thing would be to mount them behind the grille like guys do with turbos, then have a small slot for the pull cord handles to poke through. Imagine jumping out at a traffic light and pull starting your blower....ha!Originally posted by carjunkiechadYeah, you'd think it would have done SOMETHING. It has to be better than a cold air kit! Mounting on the bike? Wear it as a back pack and just plug the blower hose into a pre-made inlet!Escaped on a technicality.Comment

There is a youtube video floating around showing some ricers trying just one blower on a some ricer 4 banger on a chassis dyno. It picked up like 10 or 15 Hp if I remember correctly.Comment

$300 bucks at Sears gets you a total of 850 CFM.
Crank the car, two yanks and run some 9s. ;D Would you plumb the nitrous in front of the blowers or split some off for both 2 cycles to shoot the blower revs up for the top end charge?
If you buy two blowers, you get $25 off - that's nearly a bottle fill.Comment
