There are times I think my head is going to blow up, and then everything settles down and we make a couple of more steps forward. You can't fight the ebb and flow of the project, you just have to go with it.
Honestly a great little angry Turbo 4 sounds damn near as great to me as a nice V8, this build has really got me thinking about my plan rolling around in my head before building my javelin, an MGB GT with Turbo dodge power.
This thing keeps that little nugget rolling around in my empty head.
Keep on kepin' on. ;D

Nice. I've always been into the weird shit. I had a '63 MG Midget. That vintage had no side windows, you screwed on "side skirts" when it rained. Yeah, big help, better off wearing a large garbage bag while you sit in the car. Anyhow, I was prepping it for the installation of the old Buick aluminum V8 when I married the lovely Donna. The marriage probably saved my life because I had to get rid of the car. But, damn that thing would have ran hard.
WooHooo, NASA just granted me a provisional license. I was sweating it after I let my SCCA license expire.
We may do an open test day at Thunderhill on Feb. 5th. This weekend it looks like we'll get the car dressed, put it on the scales, corner-weight it and get it ready to go.
They just adopted some new rules and at least one was clearly about us. That's three rule changes that we have caused just cause of this car. And we haven't even run a race yet. I'll have to post the Director's comments on why they have now required us to have a minimum of 2400 lbs. They were concerned about a "class killer" turbo 4 showing up and kicking ass.
We're the only Turbo-4 prepped for the series.
We were planning on going to the Feb. 5 open test at Thunderhill, a road course about an hour and a half north of here. But, the weekend is "Thunder drift." I'm not sure that I want to test the car with a bunch of guys trying to drift through the corners. Not a good mix.
We were hoping to go up to Thunderhill tomorrow and finally test, but 80% chance of rain. Bummer. Next open test day isn't until March 19th. I think we'll have to go over to Sacramento Raceway and run it on the 1/4 in order to test the systems, the data logger, and our ability to read and tune based on the data logging. $50 every Saturday, test from noon until 4:00 pm. I wonder if they'll run us off? We'll leave from an idle cause I bet the 5.5 inch clutch and hummingbird weight flywheel aren't going to like high rev clutch drop starts. Its for testing purposes, not breaking purposes.
