As David said in the other "Six Degrees" thread...
You've heard the theory, right? A Wikipedia author describes it as "the idea that, if a person is one step away from each person they know and two steps away from each person who is known by one of the people they know, then everyone is an average of six "steps" away from each person on Earth."
So let's play the game by having each of you list the MAJOR AUTOMOTIVE EVENTS / PLACEs / SHOPS you have attended or been at. Major events / places / shops here would be defined as those well known enough that many of us would know what it is.
Let's see how many of us have attended the same stuff.
I'll start...
Hot Rod Power Tour (Long Hauler multiple times)
Hot Rod Drag Week (Participant twice)
NSRA Street Rod Nationals (back when there only was one) in Memphis, TN (maybe 1976?)
Goodguys Shows (Des Moines, IA)
NHRA Events (Brainerd, Chicago)
NASCAR Races (Bristol, Michigan)
INDY 500 (twice in the 80's)
Oakland Roadster Show (America's Most Beautiful Roadster show) in the 80's
Woodward Dream Cruise
Mopar National's
Walter P Chrysler Museum
NHRA Museum
Peterson Museum
I'll add more as I think of them...
SEMA
Car Craft Street Machine Nationals (Indy, Springfield, St. Paul)
Super Chevy Shows (Indy, Chicago)
Barrett-Jackson (Scottsdale)
World Of Wheels (St. Paul, Rochester, Duluth, Des Moines, Milwaulkee, Omaha, Chicago)
Who's next?
