I bet there is some pretty cool junk down there. There is rumor out there of lifting the embargo on Cuba. Could probably trade My 93 Villager for something cool if that happens. They could haul about 75 Cubans in that thing.

From what I hear many times the jerryrigging includes drive trains from other vehicles since parts for the old U.S. stuff is quickly becoming unobtainium down there. Still I've seen some cool pics of really nice older American rides still cruising through the Cuban streets.
Once the embargo is lifted will the Junkyard sponsor a cruise on a Liberian freighter to snatch up all that old stuff? ;)

Never been to Cuba,but i like that they are actually using their cars as daily drivers and tourist cabs.Form over function will always score higher here.

I think rollin junk is better than stranded dinsaurs in a junkyard.

Cuba are known for old american cars,but other south american countries and turkey have a lot of them too.

I would think that they have been able to figure a way to get new parts for them . Like China making performance parts for hot rods. They got into the american replacement parts biz somehow . Probably started there .

Cuba will make parts i guess,but more standard lookalike.
