Nice resurrection on the Olds; and it's nice to see that your GF goes to the shows with you... Out of complete curiousity and to measure the "above and beyond" the call of duty statement - what was the temperature that day?

Thanks . Temp was in the low 50's. She did say she may have to stay home next time. I told her no problem. She's still a keeper, in fact she just got her new laptop today , for Christmas, early. So she's covered as far as entertainment goes until I cook up something new. Speaking of new, my son just got his drivers permit so the Olds is going to the sidelines for awhile. My sons car is a 75 Pontiac Ventura SJ 260 Olds engine 350 turbo rebuilt, new tires. perfect beater car for a first time driver. Started out as a 250.00 car but it's up to about 1200.00 now. No Smog Required though. WooHoo! Anyway I need to finish a few things on it so it gets bumped to the head of the line. Then after that my friend Terry and i need to do some engine work on his 74 Challenger so we can get that out of my garage by the first of the year, Then I may pull the engine out of my Firebird to sell since I have a better one on the stand. So I will be busy .Oh, and then I've got a few things to do on the RR. Heres a few pics and stats for your enjoyment.

75 Pontiac Ventura SJ Auto on the floor same seats as TA dog 260 2 barrel rebuilt 350 turbo, factory AM/FM

68 Pontiac Firebird 400 4 speed, tilt wheel,400 hood and tach added on. belonged to my late brother, this was his 3rd 68 Firebird he owned. Lot's of sentimentel value.Had a blown engine when I got it . I'm building a nice 400 for it. He bought those wheels new in 1980 for his 2nd FB. Runs and drives but has a pilot bushing problem. No hurry on this one. Gets serious rubber in all 4 gears with a stock 71 400, I drive it just like my brother use too! FYI,paint was thin when i got it so what you see is 7 large cans of satin black shot through and undercoating nozzle.
69 Roadrunner 440/727 GearVendorsOD, driven on a 7800 mile roadtrip through 17 states over 32 days Summer 2007, still having fun with this one.Me and a pro bodyman friend of mine have 240 man hours in the bodywork and paint.
Thats all for now. If anything exciting happens to the Olds I'll update it. Thanks for letting me share my car on here and thanks for all the cool comments. TCB

Just got these today, ebay score, NOS Foxcraft with new seals and mounting hardware. 50.00 love or hate on these, but they are removable and really give the car a different look. I couldn't let them pass me by.

Never cared for skirts - and I was there for them when they were first popular. But "Every man to his own taste", said the old lady as she kissed the cow (one of Mom's old expressions!). Great score for the $$ in any case. Foxcraft was probably the biggest maker of these, and they made 'em for almost everything. I think they also were the ones who made the semi-custom bubble skirts that had to be tweaked but basically were formed with "The Look".
