High and Mighty Plymouth at Milan yesterday....

Got up close and personal with the Ramchargers High and Mighty II. This is the replica that was built by Chrysler employees and some of the original Ramchargers a few years ago, with the world's first tunnel ram from the original on it and with as many of the original's parts as they could find.

It was pitted across from us yesterday at Milan Dragway. Great group of guys working on it who answered our questions and let us take photos inside and out.

Original tach that they told us came off an old school Chrysler dyno. Love the skull.

This was on the driver's side floor pan.

Video, I only saw it run the one time and I think they packed it back up. Seemed to do a great lauch, looked like wheels up? but then it slowed down and sputtered a bit, don't know what was wrong. Still sounded great and looked cool as hell going down the track.

Flanks only a blind husband could love. I really never understude why no rear fenders. It's not like the tires were going to rub! Someone will probably want to mention less weight ,but it's of the rear, why not lose weight off the front.Love the tunnel ram though!

It's funny, one of the neatest things about that car for me is the sheer audacity of it. Obviously the Ramchargers were working on stuff that no one to that point had even really thought of yet. Can you imagine being at a drag strip in the late 1950's and seeing THAT roll off a trailer?!

Those guys did an awesome job recreating the car....just totally neat.

That thing is so cool that it is beyond the word cool.

                            It drips nostalgia....It IS nostalgia.

Mr. Billy Shope was one of the original engineers on the ca,r the "Tunnel Ram" was one of the first attempts at Wave tuning the intake, the same with the exhaust. He is a very smart but modest guy who runs
