eff, I'm kind of pissed right now, I lost half the screws
Don't feel bad. When I was a kid I'd take our rotary phone apart (mechanical curiousity at a young age). When I failed to reassemble before my parents got home, I'd take parts of the TV apart, thinking it would aid me in fixing the phone. ;D

Groucho's right. Keep that chin up ;)... you're gonna lose ALLOT more screws between now and when your old like Groucho!.. So don't let it get to ya.. :-\

Top Fuel's come a long way (in the wrong direction) since those pictures. EIGHT car teams, bazzilion dollar sponsors, etc. What started out in a few friends garages now takes place in bought out dealership properties and larger . I remember Pro Stock cars campaigned from the corner gas stations. Now you have to own the oil company that supplies that gas station. My buddy just won his 1st Super Gas Wally at Pomona. The money he spent to get there scares me

Not sure of the track...maybe Indy? It's NHRA for sure though as you can see a sliver of the NHRA Sanctioned Drag Strip sign on the far left.

I collect old Drag pictures and these were in a bunch I got a few years ago...

My favorite Top Fuel car of all time. I really dig the "wheel pants" era cars and the paint job on this one is so freaking cool.

THAT is a great looking dragster.
