first animal shot with a sony and 200mm lense, walking a trail.
called a "shitpolk". maine's version of a crane.
finding the real word, above maine's education...
seems it may be related to "wood stork" or "great blue heron".

learning the lense, I have never been able to get past foreground debris for a distant object.
to me, it was what makes the slt/dslr a real camera.
this is also 200mm. truck is 1/8th mile or so away. full zoom.

That's not the pan you see, it's a support I made that sits on the trolley jack.
