There's one that's probably 300-400 pounds that hibernates about 400 feet from where I am sitting. Still plenty of dear, rabbits, mice, and other varmints. Guess he just isn't big enough to scare everything away yet.

Yesterday, I went to watch my friend run his truck at the pulls in Ravenna. Ken wasn't able to run at all last year because one of his bulls freight trained his ass when he turned his back on him, nearly ripping his arm off. He finished his upgrades, Proline trans and transfer case. He ran last week at Amherst, but this is his home town and this pull was getting filmed by NBC Sports.
The engine is a BBC that runs on alcohol. His class limits the engine to iron heads and 485 ci. Earlier in the day, Ken somehow hydrolocked the engine with fuel pumping into it. He pulled the plugs and cleaned it out, then fired it up. He was concerned he bent a rod, but risked it anyways to run. As soon as he released the clutch at 7800 rpm, the engine let go and that rod no longer wanted to be in the confines of the block.
I shot these from the 250 ft mark on the other side of the track.

Spotted at our local last week. Drivers door had a Canadian flag, and the rear shed seemed to be attached with 50 cans of painted-over spray-foam.
I see this a lot anymore......does Wal-mart rent camping spots now?

I am walking down a protected forest road. Many acres of nothing around, in fact a couple of miles. I have not had air like that since the last time I was here in the 80s.
Air felt like it was falling into my bad leg like a fountain of youths miracle taking over.
I look over at a baby blue glimpse in the sunshine, and hike my way into the woods, there is not a trail.
came back out with this:
lesson from all this:
Do not let the good air fool your bad leg. The pain will return to thank you.

Since moving into California I've had a lot of "insensitivity" to substance abuse recovery, particularly alcoholism. It's because I spent the 15 prime years of my life in Wisconsin.....

I am pretty sure Flash Gordon is currently filing a stolen vehicle report right now.Originally posted by Whelk View PostA buddy of mine took this picture the other day. I'm fairly confident that this was part of a ride I worked next to in 1983 at Geauga Lake Park.

I saw that one or one like it on two power tours in the mid 2000's. One year it was pouring rain 2-3 days of the tour and I felt for that guy.Originally posted by Whelk View PostA buddy of mine took this picture the other day.
