[ATTACH=CONFIG]n1021045[/ATTACH] I finally made it over to Gateway Motorsports Park and made my first two runs down a drag strip. I don't think that I made a fool of myself and I was consistent between the 2 runs. Now I gotta work on that 60 foot time... (2006 Mustang GT convertible (auto) w K&N FIPK CAI, Hypertech tune, 4.10 gears. 275/45 R-18 Falken Azenis tires on 18 x 10 inch rims out back). Next time I go, I'll empty out the trunk and the console, have a little less gasoline in the tank, and drop the rear tire pressure. I'm hooked & I want to go back. I'll eventually run the Mazdaspeed6, too. BTW I'm car 250 in the left lane. I happened to line up against the same motorcycle on both runs. Friend Lonnie sent sent a weirdly-lit pic of the Chall he took at Pomona SMN last month. Someone put a nice dent in the door for me this year, maybe with a baby carriage although they would've had to push pretty hard. This is why everybody has to have those stupid signs on their cars. I won't gripe too much, Lonnie's dads beautiful Roadster he's had for years got wrecked badly soon after the event (no injuries...I believe, but don't know the whole story). The ups and downs of taking your car out. Escondido cruise had started up for the summer again so we can take our chances there next...
