BJ is without a doubt a circus of fools........ That's why it has such good TV ratings. BUT, since everything is no reserve, sometimes it's possible to get a deal. They don't show the "off hours" auctions where occaisionally a seller takes the salamie in the rear. Sorta the rich guy version of Pinks..... but both people lose.

I find it amazing these rich mooks can shell out world record prices without knowing much about the car they are buying. They take the auctioneers word (sellers) at face value.

I dont like it either, but we found a way to use it.
We get together with Beer n BBQ . We pick a car, we all make a wager and the closest to the price wins.
Hell, its the only way I'll ever make money there!

Every one with an older car...or one with lower production numbers
(maybe the reason for the low numbers is no one wanted them new)
or whatever...after seeing Barrett-Jackson a few times...starts to believe
"Ol' Jenny" sittin' out back is going to be their old-age retirement plan.

Had a fellow tell me in pure earnestness about his '59 Chevy Bel Air 4-dr
w/PG & 6 cyl...he was a plumber who got a call last winter from an elderly
widow with frozen pipes...the '59 was in her basement garage...one-owner
with 112K miles...he swapped the repair labor & materials for the car...
and said with every confidence: "That car will be worth 100K in another
10-15 years!"...that's just one of a 100-stories of people I've encountered
w/BJDS...Barrett-Jackson Delusional Syndrome.
