Andy Saunders converted a 7ft 8ins high VW Camper into a 3.3ft high version - in just three days.
"Ok, midget kiddies, it's time to load out for school bus."
As far as the "WHY", because he had a VW, and wanted to chop it.
To me, just screams an over sized go cart?!?
I say covert it to haul around a bunch of beer coolers. Perfect pro-fairground vehicle.

2020...Bad business decisions make for interesting stories. 2021...year of singing "99 problems but an asshole ain't one" 2022-2024...my GTS ate my motha' truckin' wallet but boy does she fookin' move now.
2025... I'm just trying to live my life and have fun.
Now David... come on... he did it cause he could... it's an Everest thing...
Not saying I like it or don't like it.... just that I'm fairly sure there was some pretty cool metal work going on in those 3 days and the engineering feet might have been interesting... I can respect that.
So why did he do it? Andy himself picks up the tale. ‘Well, I hadn’t had the record for a while and thought it would be fun to get it back. Turning the whole build into a bit of automotive theatre seemed like a great idea. With everybody loving the raft of auto-makeover shows like ‘Pimp My Ride’ and American Chopper’ we felt that the team should do it live to an audience over a weekend. With some 33,000-odd people coming to have a look at the build.. I guess that was the right decision!’
