My Dad and I put together that Nova kit when I was about 5 or 6 years old. We painted it orange also. I have no idea what I did to it,but it's gone now.

You can straight axle it just use one of those drop tube ones so I don't see it. Maybe it would save a few pounds off the front end and aid weight transfer w/o the wind Resistance and handling quirks of being way it the stratosphere !
