    Re: UPDATE ON FORUM PROBLEMS

I´m not getting any "unread posts" usually when I get on board there are at least three pages to scroll through. >
I´m getting "new replies" though. ;D

        Re: UPDATE ON FORUM PROBLEMS

I do very little posting. I do a lot of reading here though. Usually on 2 -3 times a day.

Everything about this upgrade has worked well for me except the screen size.

Before I could read a post and it would fit on my screen. Now it goes all the way to the right off my screen. I have to scroll over (bottom slider bar) to read it. Kinda a pain.

Since I am techno challenged, is there something I am missing to change my screen to eliminate this?

        Thanks,

        Jon

          Re: UPDATE ON FORUM PROBLEMS

right click on the desktop and then left click on "properties", then go to the "settings" tab, and select a higher resolution screen size. If it's set to 800 x 600 now, then try 1024 x 768 or something similar.

            Fixed.

Thanks Jim. I'm still trying to get the old VCR to stop blinking 12:00!

you can fix that with a short piece of black electrical tape, just place it over the display.

Does it have to be black? Seems as though I have some in a pastel blue.

                  Re: UPDATE ON FORUM PROBLEMS

Everyone who is having problems with getting booted or with the "unread posts" button not working, try making sure that your bookmark is set to www.carjunkietv.com, not just http://carjunkietv.com. We think that is the problem.

Mine is set to www. so that's not the problem.

I couldn't stay logged at first but i've been logged in all day, even closing my browser out. The colors are still a bit dark for me and fonts a tad small but the Gzip is working awesome, fast loading!!

The cookie that holds your login info is set to expire after an hour.
I even changed the expiration time and I got logged out right on schedule, so I'm pretty sure that's the culprit.
It's named SMFCookie212 on this machine, not sure if that's constant for everyone.

I just checked my cookies, and the SMFCookie212 is set to expire in an hour. Unfortunately I have no idea how to change it, I'm using Firefox 3.0. Other than that, new site is awesome.
