Jeez...busy summer projects, vacations, and getting my first born off and running in college has put this off awhile. Gonna get back to pickn at it.

Found that my $25.00 BMW swaybar was perfect till I put the car on the ground and aired it out flat for parking lot cruisin...tie rod moved up into swaybar and limited turn radius to vertually nothin. After much thought I referanced my original Beetles which tied the swaybar into the control arms. I flipped the bar and cut off the ends...as it turns out it is much more sanitary and will be even stiffer than the original plan. Cycles through motion perfectly and makes me feel like a real master cobber!

That's a nifty fix. Looking at the first picture, and thinking about it, how does that radiator get any air flow?
        Escaped on a technicality.

It's a concern of mine. There is room in front of the radiator yet...more than appears. Hope to draw from the underside with a chin spoiler you wont see and rely on the fan shroud combo I made. I think it will be fine...if not it'll be yard art.

In my experience, a bug with bad hood seals sure lets an awefull lot of air in to blow thru the dash (and freeze your butt off!)

There might be enough with the scoop, fan - - and NO hood seals.....

College already? Where does the time go man!?

I can help with that single cab "problem".

Drove a baja bug 4 years, high school and college..... nobody ever asked for a ride home more than once during winter time, that's for certain!

same with my 62 Skylark. It didn't matter how much air it got (or no air) it wouldn't heat up enough for the heater to work...

I think you'll be fine with a chin spoiler - that's mostly what the C3 Corvette has - behind the grills are the headlights, so there's really no airflow except from underneath... which will lead you to problem I suspect you'll have - getting air back out - with the Corvette those side holes are actually vents from the motor

                      There's always...

Of course, you can't go too far back toward the windshield or you get into the low pressure area wanting to act like "ram air", which would be counter productive.

and with louvers you'll never have to worry about your windshield rusting..... you will want to bring with you a bottle of simple green; however, because even a non-leaking motor will cover your windshield in oil if you have louvers.... that said, when confronted with oil or a Chernobyl meltdown; I suppose I'd go with oil

thus proving that no matter how insane of project you build; there's always some other chap who's built one just a bit more insane.
