I always liked this build. Welcome back. I noticed you have lines drawn on your floor pans and trans tunnel pieces. Are you going to bead roll them before final assembly?
BTW, I absolutely love the wheels you have on it. Very cool. What kind are they?BS'er formally known as Rebeldryver

hmmmm, I like that for the air ride on my BuickOriginally posted by AFFORDILLAC View PostAnybody seen or used these valves for airride systems??? No solenoids jus manual valves...line from tank to valves to bags...gonna give them a whirl.
Air ride suspension made easy with manual valves. Little Larry's manual air valves for the auto enthusist. The FOURPLAY air ride suspension valve is a complete control unit for your air ride suspension. FBSS
The four valve is for this project...the two for another bug.

Thanks guyz. Been too frigid to be out the past week an a half but will be back at it in a couple days looks like.
Hey Milner...jus the usual stuff...4 foot shear, 4 foot rollers, and a Mitler Brothers bead roller. Been collecting for alot of years.Originally posted by milner351 View Postawesomeness! Great to see you posting again - what sort of stash of metal working tools do you have that made that fantastic trans tunnel?
Scott...the pics are terrible but its all been bead rolled already. Floors all welded in now. I assume you mean the wheels on the other project which are custom made by RANDAR called Iron Cross for VW...I dig them too.
SBG...so damn simple aint it? Hope it works out.Comment

Thanks for your input guys...gotta have some motivation!
Yeah Stiney that was the plan all along with the stock seats. Not so much the stealth but that I can do the interior in this thing myself for "cheap" compared to a stitch shop. I already bought good quality panels and I need a high quality seat recover kit. I'll make templates for carpets and have them seamed and presto.Comment

Next is the rear seat area. I failed miserably in getting this thing road worthy when my kids were small enough to fit in the rear. Ida gone with an LS motor by now had I known better. Since the motorvation aint changin anytime soon, the rear seat base will be a fake upholstered bottom of wood and foam to cover the area below. In it will be the battery, airride controls, pump, stereo speakers and amp.Comment

sounds like a plan for an excellent package tray like the old business coupes used to use!! maybe a color matched padded carpet shelf for a shop dog passenger?Patrick & Tammy
