Re: talking with the wife and....Considering a T-Bucket
I am thinking something with a more 50's vibe and honestly I am not too worried about performance really, I dont road race or really drag race for that matter so the fun in owning one would be cruising the piss out of it...taking one of the kids or the wife out for a ride and just having fun...I would like to keep the fury and buy a trailer and turn it into a bracket racer...
My problem is I am not one to follow a particular style, so its difficult to say exactly what I am looking for...I like everything and I like stuff that most people find ugly and dated....I really dig all the ones posted here, the issue is the marker for these cars is hot and the prices are high...so I think finding something that is not finished or at a swap meet that must go now will probably be the way to go....

gag...you can bet we are in agreement on the first....I am really diggin the second...that grill rocks....The more pics you guys post the more I want one...hmmmm, maybe I'll cash in my stocks too...the investment would be better at this point....
Re: talking with the wife and....Considering a T-Bucket
I like the second one. what do you think of kits? I looked at street beast a few years ago and didnt care for them too much. I think the right kit would be great as you wouldnt have to deal with any suprises a PO left for you.
Re: talking with the wife and....Considering a T-Bucket
The problem with a kit is space, I just dont have any...and when all is said and done a kit can be very expensive, a base kit is 7-8 grand but few minor upgrades can bring that price up real quick...but man there are some cool kits out there..

Just outa curosity, why not put the money into the Fury? With the kind of money you would put into a second car (maintenence, insurance, purchase price) you could really make some headway on that Fury. Maybe even put it in a shop and get the paint and body work done ??? Just thought I would play a little devil's advocate. ;)

the ammount of money I would have to put into the Fury will far surpass what I intend on spending on a new ride, the Fury is in very bad shape...
She Needs the following to just look decent..not perfect....
rear springs
shackles and bushings
front end rebuild
disk brake conversion
all new weather seals
new 1/4 both sides
trunk floor and extentions
seats re foamed
head liner
wireing harness
trans rebuild
rear end rebuild
windshield
and tons of body work....
Re: talking with the wife and....Considering a T-Bucket
I have to agree with Spidy on this one. Your just burnt out one this from probably not making any real progress for awhile . Now go out there and make a measurable improvement to the car . Get the 1/4 s welded on,you fell rejuvinated ! Besides, you will all fit in it at the same time!
