From just south of KC, I drive 69 to the Will Rogers Turnpike, just west of Joplin, then at Big Cabin, take 69/75 south. It will tie into Hwy 121 at McKinney, TX. That loops around to the north end of DFW airport, and 121/114........just west of that juncture, HWY 360 South will lead you right into the heart of Arlington, near 6 Flags. I drive that route twice a year and recommend it highly. There is construction at the 69/75 and 121 interchange, but it flows very well. Even though the 121 from McKinney to DFW is shown to be a toll road, it's all automated and I've never been billed........that could change, but I doubt it will be by June.

Exactly the route I was planning to take Ed. I did 2 round trips to Grapevine in February with HRPT in mind. 121 is supposed to be a toll road but from what i could tell, you don't pay if you don't exit. Weird.

Anyways, if we want to get a convoy together I'm in. Somebody tell me where and when. I assume we all want to get there in time to get our registration taken care of on Friday.

Hey guys if you can stay away from the grapevine area 114 is a big mess. You never know what exits are closed and sometimes they even close 114 down. It just nor a good place to be.

It's been that way for more than 10 years.......total mess, for sure, but just takes some attention to the signs to get through. 114/121 to 360 South, then 10 minutes later you're in the Six Flags area.

but it getting worst. I drive my big rig threw there about 4 times a week. But you are once you are on 360 its a fast trip. I went to Arlington last to check out my hotel. Then went to the college that place was a mess. Is that for sure where they are going to be.

Hey Ed- The missus wants to leave on Friday morning, her mom is coming in on Thursday to "babysit" the kids so she wants to spend some time before we leave. Hopefully we can get to Arlington by 1 or 2 and get registered. I'll catch up to you down there I'm sure.
