(Just to add a suggestion you can also just go bigger with shocks, not better. There are a pair of dead-stock dirt-cheap '70s Dodge half-ton truck shocks in the front of my El Camino, which after some pricey experimentation turned out to be just what it needed.)
Replaced the broken shock this morning in order to drive the car to the GRNS show. Got three miles down the freeway and the car would pull one way, then the other. Didn't feel safe. So I turned around and parked it. Took the Caprice there instead. Not sure what's happening. It was too wet this morning to find out.
