    Remote Oil Filter

It is a PITA to change the oil filter in the pickup. That and I may be getting a bit older. I am considering a remote oil filter setup. Any advice?

I run one on my street rod... it uses the 3/4" thread (ford and chrysler)
I just blend the edges in the filter housing so it flows better.... just remember
that the inlet to ANY filter is the outside... it has greater surface area to collect
trash/dirt... the center is always the return to the engine

Great advice. The only thing I could add is to think about what happens with drain back after shut off in order to minimize cold start starvation. I run an oil cooler as well and the filter is mounted so that inlet is slightly above the pump so drain back keeps the oil column solid pump to filter, and filter to cooler is uphill as well.
