x2 - and pretty cheap. Check around on that. Maybe a group purchase on several feet would be even cheaper. Hit me up if you are interested, aluminum is light. Not too much postage I'd think.

I say we at least try to group buy a good injector seat cutter, it looks like $65 will buy a pair of 17" rails and 8 injector bungs, but I'm not sure the bungs are a great idea (pre machined - shape change during welding?)

I've only ever seen injector seat cutters for direct injected diesels. However, when researching a while back I ran across this page http://www.sdsefi.com/techrail.htm which it looks like if you have a little distortion after welding, you can easily machine it out.

There is a specific injector stepped drill. I'm sort of surprised that we don't already own one.
    I'm still learning

The good news is that for a typical single plane manifold there are now lots of choices with bungs already cast in the can bought, traded for etc. The other nice aspect is that the donut shaped rings that seal the injector to the bung and the rail allow for a lot of mis-alignment and irregularity in the respective bores. The net is everything doesn't have to be perfect to have a leak free installation. Then there are bungs that can be bought or made form bar stock and either JB welded or tigged into manifolds that lack bungs. Finally the support for the rail can be a simple as a bent piece of flat stock. My first single four barrel TB was setup this way. Generic rails/extruded stock have gotten to be really cheap for individual purchase on eBay so I wonder about bulk purchase below the 100's of pieces.

The more interesting question is the precise placement of the injector; is it square to the bung and rail or is there angle which would better place the spray cone at the back of the intake valve in a more or less traditional location. If an angle is required either a mill or a multi-axis drill press will help when using the injector bung/rail bit.

Ok the timing is right, the $$$ is here, or close to it so I can start on this thing. If you have any deals on MS3 systems, or something that will work post it up or send me a note. Still havent decided on the injectors, part of me wants to go Nascar style right under the TB, but the easier way might be lower in the ports like a factory setup. It would be nice to get the intake good and warm to vaporize the fuel better and have a bit more distance to put the LHoV effect to work for me.

A complete port setup is $3000+ for these engines, so if I cant do it cheaper than that I might as well just save a bit more and get the kit with everything in it. The new 2.0 EZ is supposed to work with my fuel, but havent seen one of them yet.

I can get this intake now from Summit and its the same one I was planning to run but with the bungs and everything already done. Edelbrock has rails too so that is solved.

Need to figure out injectors, wiring(unless the MS comes with something I can use), cam and crank position, and a throttle body. As long as I can use the wideband that is going under it to tune the Qjet, that is handled too.
