The 63-65 Riviera should absolutely be there as well as the 69 Charger and pretty much the whole GM line up in 1967. 66 Galaxy and a 70 Torino fast back could be there too. 59 Impala would do well there, theres too many to put there I couldnt have just ten! Stupid list. We really had great cars in the US at one time, thats for sure. The onrs actually on the list a excellent too!

        I agree about this car..............................

But the first time i ever went over 100mph was when i was 7 and my dad's good friend Dave Hughes brought his '65 XKE to the house for a visit. He and dad and I sitting bitch went for a ride down old brown school rd. outside oxford ohio... i was rocked. ruined me for life. Truly a beautifull car....

[QUOTE=Ron Ward;674405]This one just sticks in my mind.... how can it not be on the list?

            1969 Super Stock Hemi Barracuda

The reason the above is not in the list is because it looks like a 16 year old took it thru a Summit catalog compared to a JAG!

Not to be a total contrarian here, but it is perfect business sense to use the word "best"! Look at this thread and how many clicks that story got from just this thread on BS alone. There's a reason when I write a Top 11 list for the front page every week it is always a BEST or WORST because it immediately trips a mental switch that gets people geared up to debate, share, criticize, etc, what they are reading.

For Yahoo, the value is in the traffic and this story is getting a shitload, guaranteed.

Norm Sims, best professor I had at UMass. If he's smiling somewhere because the guy obsessed with cars and trucks, who took every Sims class he could is applying some stuff he learned, I am a happy dude!

I thought it was strange they picked the 275 GTB over the Daytona coupe. I think the 275 is a bit too chunky looking, this is just plain awesome!

I agree - but I don't know if I love that car because of Miami Vice or if I know how valuable it is... But I do find that car to be one "beautiful" car.

                              * did you know: in the pilot episode of Miami Vice a REAL Ferrari Daytona was used. When the show got picked up, they switched to a much less expensive Corvette based kit car.

I have to agree with most of the list except the Dodge and the Porche...

The Ferrari 250 is my fav on that list followed by the Lambo, both companies use to build beautiful cars, I think they have since lost their way.

We should make a most beautiful American car list, maybe top 20.

looking at it objectivel, instead of a blinded by pride american who only things old cars rule...this is a MFing sexy ass car
