I'm wondering about the fuel pump in the Mustang with a carb setup. I sorta understand volume / pressure but I figured I would toss this out here for thoughts.
88lph 40psi pump, regulated down to 6psi. At 39psi it's supposed to be good for about 300 hp. I hope to be making north of that. I have a 190lph Walbro, would it make sense to use that or go with a carb type setup and use an inline Holley or something like that?
Will the electric in tank pump be a problem for priming an inline pump, or am I thinking dumb and need to gut it for a regular carb style pickup and use a big electric? The Holley stuff I find says mount it as low as possible, I'm guessing for a siphon type prime?
Do you guys think I should toss the in tank or will it be okay to supply fuel to a bigger in line pump? Thanks in advance, my brain has gone soft today.
