Here's an interesting dining guide for the Dream Cruise by the foodie website Eater. All price categories. I'd be interested to get some input from fellow locals...

A national site covering food and dining culture, with 23 city sites tracking local dining scenes across hundreds of maps.

      Cobra,

Not that greenfield village and Henry ford museum aren't amazing, but you may wanna pass on them this trip. First off, I think they both close at 5 pm. Secondly, you wanna get to Woodward early on Saturday. I always shoot for 9-930am. By noon, Woodward almost becomes undrivable, with it taking hrs to go a few miles. The full stretch is about 17 miles up, 17 miles back. That's a lot to see. Get up early, get there around 730-8am, drive to Pontiac, then settle in at Coolidge/Woodward are. Bring chairs! It will be like nothing you've ever seen

Yes, the festivities have begun. Like I was telling John at the BS get together, if you have time come by the Berkley Cruisefest Friday night in Berkley. There is a 400+ classic car parade @ 6:00 pm, it starts at the cemetary @ 12 & Woodward and continues west down 12 Mile Rd. through Berkley. After the parade they keep 12 mile closed west of Coolidge for a street party with live music till 11:00. The band shell just happens to be right across the street from our store, so come on by and see us, we may have a cool beverage for you. I'll be at the store Friday and Saturday, so if you have a chance, come by and say hey. Later, Tim

          Bruce, Mike, Bob,
Just Adam asked me to fly up and he would pick me up at the airport . . . again! But, I just can't do it this time, like St. Louis, on PT.

Look for him cruisin in a white Kaiser Darrin, two seat convertible. That is the car that the doors slide up into the fenders. He might be hangin with the Imperial speedster.

Tell him "you" are picking up DTB at the airport, that will screw with him!

Y'all have a ball, wish I could be there too.

We took my Boss 302 out last night. The traffic was pretty bad between 11 mile and 14 mile. There were a lot of really nice cars to check out. We are going back on Friday night.

I will be in the Lingenfelter display on Saturday. We are just north of 15 Mile, on the east side of Woodward. If you are on Woodward stop by and say hi.
If it was easy, everyone would do it.

I went out and did the whole Woodward Cruise route tonight, the skys were threatening so I think there were actually fewer cars tonight then last night, it was fun, always someone wanting to pick on me.

If we spot Just Adam it will be game on. Unless of coarse, you are already with him

Does his Darrin have a red interior? I think I have seen it there in the past. I mean, how many of them can there be??

Have been getting phone calls from Woodward . . . you lucky bastards ! Maybe y'all could get phone numbers from each other now ! Yes it has a red interior and IS probably the only one on the streets of Detroit this week. Give him a shout.

Y'all are so lucky, reminds me of a line from a Robert Earl Keen song, "The road goes on forever, and the party never ends !"

                      Missin another good party DTB

Have a blast guys - I'll see you next year - if I head out to woodward this weekend, the falcon won't be done for dragweek for sure, I have a line in to the 5 hour energy folks to see if I can get the stuff in kegs.

At 13 mile and Woodward, car parked one row off Woodward. Where art thou fellow bangshifters? Parking here is $35 for both days, $25 I think for tomorrow only. Catch is tomorrow you can't come and go, you have to stay parked.

                          Ps...northeast corner.

I battled the traffic so you don't have to. Here's a big gallery from the Dream Cruise last night you can view from your daddy chair. This one is strictly pre-65 vehicles, but there's more coming.

Below are a few samples from the gallery... take, use, and share the images as you please. Thanks!

Ain't it great? That's why I like Dream Cruise. It's such a typical Dream Cruise car. Might not have the latest paint or wheels, but it's probably had the same owner since the '60s or '70s. It's a member of the family.

The Cruise was always on my bucket list.....but man that's a lot
                                of people to maneuver.
