I called the local dealer just now, I forgot to stop by when I was in town. They looked up the number for a 454 99 truck and it's the same as noted above. They said they had one in stock, the other will be here Wednesday.

Autozone shows the same part numbers for a '98 c1500 with a 5.7 as it does for a '78 Blazer with a 400 sbc........ So I would have to say the threads are probably the same, it does list multiple lengths though, 3 5/8, 4 1/2, 4 5/8 and 113mm which is basically 4 1/2. Also ARP list their starter bolts for "ALL" chevy engines....... You would think if there is a year break that they would list it......

Drag Week 2011 - BB N/A - 1977 Skylark w/455 EFI and TKO-600!
Drag Week 2012 - Street Race BB N/A - DNF on Day 6 - 1977 Skylark w/455 EFI and TKO-600!
I think it is more that they generalize one bolt size for many applications.....Either way they are saying all starter bolt thread sizes are the same on Chevy engines, only difference is going to be in the length.......
If it was me I'd measure the bolt length that I need, check what thread the hole is in the block and go to the local hardware store and get what I need in grade 8, but I guess that's to easy.........

Thinking out loud for KYHunter, sorry man, I can't remember your first name. This dealer plan is solid.
Tthreads are 3/8-16, take a standard chevy starter bolt with you, a 3/8-16 nut and compare. The 10mm stuff will hang off of both sides of a standard 3/8 knurled starter bolt by "a lot" (it will be obvious). If the thing looks obviously bigger, and the nut fits? Winner.

all gen 1 sbc use standard threads
Just read this...
We run the same starter on 327's and 350's in our derby motors.. They require a shorter bolt.. Stock bolts are too long
My 90 'Burb with the 350 has standard threads, not metric..
Hope this gives some light to someone...
