Bought her in 1981 with a boat anchor sagnaw and a smog 305 and in need of some body work. The body was stripped and redone with a few new GM panels and a complete new drive train. I've had her for 32 years and she has been eating my money ever since.
11:5:1 355 4 bolt balanced with new TRW fordged pistons and ARP rod bolts. Iron 461X heads with 2.02 & 1.06 and a lot of machine work. Edelbrock Bowtie Victor Jr 2977 intake and a 750 Speed Demon on top. Complete MSD Ignition Pro Billet & 6A. Pro Mag roller rockers and a custom ground bump stick. New 11" DF clutch and an AutoGear M22 with a 8.5" 10 bolt with 4:10s out back connected to Cal-Tracs.
Rear suspension is all new along with Cal Tracs and a PTFB rear sway bar. Body mount bushings were all replaced with GW solid aluminums along with a fresh set of frame connectors. Front suspension is the next project I have all new pieces including springs. Just replaced the front rotors with drilled and slotted ones and new calipers & hoses along with some EBC Yellow Stuff pads. Also I just replaced the whole fuel system from the tank and sender to all new SS fuel lines.
CenterLine Sundance Matrix 17x8-4.5 BS rear
17x8-5.0 BS front
I just put a new steel GoodMark cowl hood on that fits like a glove, it replaced the cracking and warped fiberglass one I had on there. The body is very straight, I may paint it matte black in the future? The car was stripped and painted in the late 80s and will need to be done again sometime in the future.
Last time at the track was in the 90s and it did a best of 11.87 sliding off the line. The motor is a bit more tuned in now and the traction issues are hopefully being corrected with the new suspension and Cal-Tracs.
