Okay, so that's even funnier - you mean those labels the media strives to put on people aren't true? Oh Gail, you went from media mainstay to pariahDoing it all wrong since 1966 -
Loren let me get it!
We brought the little car home on Saturday and messed with it all weekend and drove it around the neighborhood late Sunday afternoon.
Loren showed me how to use the buffer with liquid buffing stuff so I did that on Saturday and re-attached the bumpers (so cute!).
Then I have had this zebra rug forever that I think my sweet husband just put up with in the house, but I think he really likes it better in the little car...
He did fancier stuff than me like riveting and doing the pattern for the carpet. he found a cool black and yellow CA motorcycle plate and stuck that on the back, now we look real legit!
More pictures to come, these were just the ones in my blackberry.Last edited by LORENSWIFE; August 6, 2012, 05:53 AM.That awkward moment when you realize it IS your circus and those ARE your monkeys!Comment

it sure shined up nice...it needs chrome...chrome bumpers and chrome steering handle, wheels...headlight bezels...maybe some bullet tail light lenses. and some pin stripes to break up the redIf you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. - Mark DonohueComment

Tedly,
The Zebra carpet was an inspiration! It was just a K-mart carpet (but a sorta expensive one at the time) I've had for about 15 years in the house. Of course we had to make the pattern out of the middle of it so the stipes would be mirrored on both sides. Then we put a little piece where the armrest is too.
Joe, I agree with the chrome thing! I want the moon hub caps and I know the bumpers need chroming but chrome is a bit expensive...I would also like those little eyebrow things over the headlights, hadn't though about the steering handle but that would be very cool!
It has doors but we didn't put them on yet because we need door handles.
That handle steering thing is quite the rodeo! I almost crashed us a couple times!
I JUST LOVE IT! I kinda feel bad I only paid $600!

I love the elegant, understated look of the carpet. I think it looks great the way it is but a little more bling would be good, too. They have powdercoat that's pretty close to chrome these days and I'm pretty sure it's much cheaper. Worth a look, anyhow.
Nice job with the buffer - it's how used car dealers make money.

59 Caddy bullet tail lights, maybe. Or 50 Olds type.
Train air horns, or just a hand held air horn (get those at boat suppliers) are good for watching people lose control of bodily functions.
Don't forget a jamming stereo.
Safety note: Three wheels vehicles do not like taking corners too fast. They like to tip over.
Have fun with your new ride.BS'er formally known as Rebeldryver
